OH...MAN! You, woman, are more than a DIVA. You are a BRAVE, AWESOME MOM DIVA to just roll with the idea of Mr. Snaky Snake becoming the household pet. Yikes!

Congrats on your Tiara! It will look glorious on you.

Cheri

Aw! You are the sweetest gal ever! And you called it, Laura will have to help me keep the tiara straight. She's even been brushing my hair.

Heidi

Oooh a tiara! Will we see a picture of you wearing it?!

That snake...brings back memories of our time in Costa Rica. I still haven't recovered...you are a bigger woman than I am, letting that snake coexist with you within the same four walls. That aquarium better be (air) TIGHT!

Heidi

The snake was in your house. And you let it stay.

Hold on...getting a paper bag. Hyper-ventilating.

Yikes.

Trudie

Congrats to the tiara! Definitely deserved and will look stunning on you!
As for the snake... Had that been in my house, we would've had a new exit thru the nearest wall. I don't do reptiles and animals with more than 4 legs very well - but I can walk around in the bush and not even worry about bears and such!

suburbancorrespondent

And to think I was freaking out over a centipede in my bathroom this morning...

Sharon

What an exciting time you've had! Congrats on the award. I hope your new houseguest, Jim, behaves himself!

debbie

The Bling...gorgeous, dahling...well-deserved. The snake? Get the frickety-frack out!!! It's bad enough that we have pretty much the whole flippin' bug world present in our entranceway...I would have to put my foot down (carefully!!) on that kind of creepy crawly creature!!
Is this what I have to look forward to??
*ack*

Domestically Challenged

I've been gone too long - you've redecorated!! Love it!

I think you are v. tolerant - the snake would have have to exit!

Janet

good GOD! How did that get in there??!

Mary

I just ran around and shut my patio doors. I leave them standing open often so that I don't have to let the dog in and out and in and out and in and out and in and out... I don't want Jim's cousin's coming over. I would have my bags packed and be moving to the tundra if I found a snake in my house! I did find a lizard in my front closet playing around in the shoes one day. Glad your ticker is in good shape!

Karen

Ahh you are a far braver woman than me. Jim would be out looking for his family about now, not living in my house. Hee hee!
And you deserve the tiara, now a photo of you wearing one would make my day! :-)

Jamie

Congrats on your purdy tiara. Much deserved.

And holy moly, are you kidding me? I think I would have moved out if I found a snake (well, I do have a propensity for moving so...) in my house. Handled like a true queen.

Karen

Wear your tiara proudly, Miss Diva!

Sharon

Yep, 7-Up. It really is good with it. You know what 7-Up is? Or just questioning the use of it in the recipe? :)

Becky

Um, keep an eye on "Jim". Banshee Girl (my daughter) kept a snake that she caught - and within 6 weeks "Blossom" had given birth to 29 baby snakes. No Lie! I can send you a picture! Wow, was I thrilled, or NOT! Blossom still lives with us. Due to the lack of suitable gentleman callers she has not given birth again. THANK HEAVENS!

kcinnova

Snake Master thinks Big Red is a very lucky boy.
Kcinnova thinks Jenn might have had her common sense scared out of her, to let "Jim" live in the house with her!!
SM has been told he has to wait until he moves out on his own before he can have a pet snake. (Yes, I'm a mean mom.)

kcinnova

Oh, and Snake Master also wants to know what kind of snake it is. He is standing hee with a big grin on his face!

Tootsie Farklepants

I don't know if I would have had a heart attack but I might have moved out instantly! YIIIIIIIIIIIIKES!!! I no like snakes.

Angie

I REALLY WON?!?! I feel like due to my week, this must be a pity fix. I am so excited. THANKS!!!

If I saw that in my house, I would have to walk around with army boots. Seriously! No amount of rationalization could get me to sleep in that house again, I think.

KEEP BELIEVING

Lainey-Paney

AAAAAAAAAAAaUUUuGGGGGgHHHHHHHHHHHHh!
I would have ran outside screaming my head off at the size of that snake. Small grass snakes---no problem. I throw them in the neighbor's yard! (I'm so mean....) But a snake that big, Holy Cow!

Lisa

You are a very brave and calm woman. We had a little mouse (the second time this year) in the house and I went hystrerical, leaving the home until someone could get it. And mice don't usually bug me. Snakes on the other hand horrify me to no end. I am sure I would go running to a neighbor's house screaming '911!!'
Love your blog!

mike golch

congrats on the award.

Angela

I guess it is nice you got a new pet.
Well now I know who to give a snake i I find one

Trish

WOW Check that snake out! I would have been on a chair yelling for my mommy. OK, not really. I would have captured it humanely and put it an aquarium too.

By the way, I hear from Just jamie that you make a WICKED WICKED Chocolate Cake. I would be thrilled to pieces if you would share your recipe. Sorry I missed it! It's Jamie's Dad's birthday this weekend and I am in charge of the chocolate cake. Help?!

Trish

Jen. I just looked and the comment I left was attributed to Angela after Ipushed POST. But it's Jamie's Mom that is dying for the cake recipe above. :-)

stu

I think I passed out for a minute on your behalf with that snake. Oh. My. Ugh.

But THANKS for the tiara! I'm so honored! I will definitely wear it proudly for my man, and maybe even for my grocery boy. Shhh. That's a secret though.

Mommica

Thanks so much for your comment. Wow - so sorry about your BFF's hub. How heartbreaking. I'm so thankful that Angie does have such amazing friends who are chomping at the bit to help, as you are with your friend too. love is deep. God is good. Thanks for stopping by - :)

teresa (maggiegracecreates)

MaggieGrace world has had a resident snake in the past. Negotiation continues over who the rightful owner of the space is. I have painted the inside of things bright white in effort to make sure he doesn't startle me.

However - Mr Black Snake is not allowed in the house. If he invades that part of my space, he will promptly become aquainted with the wrong end of the rifle.

HRH

Holy crap. That snake would have caused pee in the hall from me.

Kristen

Ack! I would have screamed blue murder, grabbed the kids and ran for the hills. Or maybe the mall...

sue bull

a snake? my god - where do you live!?!?!?! one great thing about new zealand - no natural predators (unless you count politicians)...

Laskigal

Yay for your bloggy bling and you picked a great bunch to pass it on to!

The snake is totally freaking me out. I have no issues with snakes unless they are in MY HOUSE!!!
