YAY! Conor will be thrilled that we have a new book to read. I love it that he is getting into reading so much.

I'll email you from home as I am unable to access my personal email while at work. :)

Thank you!

I know you didn't mean any harm by the post - to anyone! If it stirred up some feelings, I think that is a good thing. Too often we forget to be real, always agreeing with everyone, and "being supportive" even when we don't stand behind our comments. I respect you for having the guts to voice your opinions, Jenn!

I'm sorry - did you feel misunderstood by the commenters, Jenn? Is this the "friend" post?

kcinnova

I read it last night. Are you okay?

I've read your piece over at the Colony a couple of times....the first time I was shocked at the flack that was coming from what you wrote. Maybe I'm being too simplistic or something, but, I did not get what some of those commenters were talking about. I read it again and can sort of see where they were coming from but still...as someone said, it was like people not seeing the "forest for the trees"...the point was missed. That family's decision to avoid the confrontation with their daughter's attacker did in fact contribute to the result of this latest case. They may have avoided her going through that before, but now, isn't she having to relive it all over again?
The court system should have allowed some other way of getting to that terrible man...they were also in denial that it would not happen again, me thinks.
I like the way you stood by your writing...it shows the Colony is one of subatance.
