Mr. Fix-it is coming home tomorrow--to stay for two weeks! His new schedule will have him half the month in San Diego and half the month in Salt Lake City; this is a huge improvement over most of the time in SLC.
We (he, me and Social Butterfly; all that's left here on the homefront) are sooooo happy about this. We miss each other.
Now I can finally go see Crazy, Stupid Love which came out like five weeks ago and I've heard great things about--it seemed like a movie we'd enjoy seeing together, so I wanted to wait for him. Also? I can start catching up on Rescue Me--it's one of "our" shows, so I wouldn't watch without him--they're all TiVoed. I have, however, been watching Weeds--I love the man, but I do have limits.
My neighbors will be very happy to see Mr. Fix-it because that mean someone will finally mow our lawn. Danger Boy was doing it until he left and I meant to start doing it, then it got a little too long and I was sure the lawnmower would mow one small swath and then stop and that would look worse than the whole thing overgrown. So I waited.

Love, love the new schedule! I am so happy for you. Enjoy and spoil each other rotten!

I'm glad Mr. Fix-it will get to be around a lot more! Though it's a bit long, your lawn does look very green and luscious!

Just having him home will be wonderful. Your new schedule sounds great!
My hubby is hopefully coming home on Monday, after being away for a month. He'll be home for 7 weeks before leaving again for a month in November. I thought I'd go easy on him and not make a list of projects, but he actually asked me to make a list!!!! I'm just looking forward to having him around.

I am so happy for you!! That is such a better solution - especially as winter in SLC looms near.
You're going to love a lot of Crazy Stupid Love.

This IS wonderful news!!!! I imagine with just the two of you there it is pretty quiet.
Have you and SB watched Switched at Birth??? Linds and I just watched the entire first season (the only season so far) on netflix. IT is great, you would both enjoy it.

What a great schedule change - those weekend trips home must have been hard, especially with a husband who would go to a RomCom! Here's hoping the next change brings him home full time!

You're living the life I will someday -- Merrick will be just 13 when both of his older siblings are gone. that's a LOT of alone time with mama when you're a teenage boy : -).

Hurrah!! I'm so glad you get more time As You Should Be--and that you won't have to get a goat and a scythe.
I'm with you on the need for WEEDS, too. I mean, loving your man is one thing, but WEEDS is a whole nother.

Extreme lawn jealousy here.

That is great news! I've been wanting to see Crazy, Stupid Love also, but my husband hates movies like that, so I'd have to bribe him. My dad saw it, and thought it was really funny.

I totally relate on the mowing of the lawn. It's a jungle here when hubs doesn't get it done! But it's the one thing I've refused to do so far because you know how it is, and if I do it once it'll become "my" chore. Nuh-huh.
Congrats on having your hubby back for a while!
