I have the kind of brain that would see the sign for the first four days, and then it'd become part of "the desk" in my vision. I have to keep moving notes/reminders every couple days, if I want them to retain their effectiveness.

Jenn @ Juggling Life

I put it away and take it out every day. I share a clasroom with two other teachers over the course of the day.

Suzy

My flash drive is so complicated you have no idea. Also? I CAN'T FIND IT. It's gotta be here somewhere post move (7 months ago) but I'll be damned if I know where.

Did I tell you that for the longest time I couldn't find my electric razor, only the base that it charges on?

Then about 2 months ago I found it. IN ONE OF MY PURSES.

Daniela

Have you ever heard of Dropbox?
It's a real cool and easy program. You download it on the computers you used, create a "work work" folder and save all your work-work stuff there.

Example you worked on FileX at home. You save it in the Dropbox "work work" folder. Then you go to work, to your computer, open the Dropbox folder, the "work work" folder and there it is, the edited FileX :)

gary rith

you get older, you start to leave little notes around for yourself, oh yes you do....

Green Girl In Wisconsin

Hey, I say whatever works!

Busy Bee Suz

LOL...whatever works. I have forgetfulness when it comes to certain things too and I need a BIG sign!

Jenrantsraves

People laugh at us organized folks, but they are secretly jealous. I will have to post about what my husband did today to remind me of something.

Cassi Renee

I have the same sign, in a slightly smaller size. I'm always leaving my flash drive in the computer in the classroom, and the sign has helped a lot.

The next time I'm missing an electric razor, though, I'm going to go straight to my purse!!

:-)

You are wise! I have been burned more than once by my unreliable laptop (yes, I am openly admitting that it took more than one round of me losing half a thesis ...), so I back up everything now.

Tammy

I love it! I make notes like that for myself all the time!

Brightside-Susan

I have a note today that says "Bday Cards!" because I need to remember some for co-workers.

shrink on the couch

what ever works. maybe you can copyright your sign. I know a few people (me) who could use just such a reminder.

CC

It's brilliant. I need more reminders like this.

JCK (Motherscribe)

Knowing your own weaknesses and then doing something about them. Well, that takes gumption and perseverance! Which you have in spades! Great idea.

Susan @ A Slice of my Life

Let them laugh, you have to do what works for you.

One of my girlfriends leaves herself big notes on the front door. Even simple things like pick one of the kids up from practice at whatever time. (yep, she forgot once!) It's always intersting to read her door.
