Jen on the Edge

I would watch this movie even if it were getting terrible reviews -- just so that I can spend two hours gazing at Colin Firth, whom I am sure will be my second husband.

Cheri @ Blog This Mom!

JENN IS TOTALLY RIGHT PEOPLE. GO RIGHT NOW!!! IT IS THE BEST MOVIE FOR CURING WHAT AILS YA, OR AT LEAST TAKING YOU AWAY FROM IT FOR A COUPLE OF HOURS.

I KNOW I'M "SHOUTING" BUT THIS MOVIE MAKES YOU WANT TO SHOUT . . . NO SING, AND DANCE, LIKE A QUEEN, ONLY SEVENTEEN, OH YEAH!

Suzy

Just don't sing the commercial and no one gets hurt.

Susan

Oh I'm so glad to see that you, a real person, love this. We were going to see it on Friday, but ended up not being able to, then the stinky reviews...

Now I can't wait to see it again!

Hen

We're going on Friday....I have taken note of the champagne advice..I'll do exactly as I'm told!

manager mom

I get to see approximately one movie per year in theaters... this week might be the week, and we are having a cage match to decide this versus Batman.

kcinnova

I love it when someone tells me to watch a movie AND drink champagne.
I'm in.

Hilary

If the movie is even fractionally as good as the live performance I saw 5 years ago, I'm sure I'd enjoy it. Thanks for the fine review.

Denise

We were all JUST talking about this!!! Now we have to get going!

Fannie

I can't wait to see it. Family obligations are causing me to put it off, but not for long.

Shelia

I'm there. I'll have me some Colin Firth! Yeah, give me some of that!

Janet

I really don't like ABBA's music but this movie seems so upbeat...I'd like some upbeat for awhile :)

AlphaDogMA

I'm so excited about this movie. I lurve Pierce Brosnan. And Greece. And ABBA. Alas a trip to the movie theatre means a four hour drive for me, so I'll be waiting for the dvd release. Woe is me.

Smalltown Mom

I saw it yesterday. Loved it!

Tina

God, that sounds like a great day! Will plan to see it this weekend. Must buy champagne first, though...

Ann

Meryl? Pierce? Greek Island? Man candy? DONE.

MereCat

Wheeeeeeeee!!!! I am so glad you loved it! Then I know it's going to be good. I saw the play twice, and I am DYING to see the movie.

Lisa

I heard this. I think I will take your advice, but I may just have to go solo. I want all the candy for myself ;)

melissa

Okay, this is the 4th review I've read of this movie...I'm feeling SO out of the loop. Must call babysitter now!

gary

Meryl Streep!

Heather

I can't wait to see this movie.

Minnesota Matron

First, Mrs. G. and now you. Okay, okay, the Matron is convinced. She remember Meryl Streep's stunning singing skills in Postcards from the Edge, a movie the Matron ADORES because she can, alas, relate. To everything but the singing/acting/famous part.

Madge

I just made plans with a friend to see the movie Thursday. Can't wait!

Heidi

Well, I like ABBA, but I will have to wait for it to come out in DVD. Not too many adult movie trips for this mama yet!

Tricia

I loved the play so I can only imagine the movie version is also wonderful fun. I may have to really see this sooner rather than later.

San Diego Momma

I'm so wanting to see it! I breathed the ABBA Gold soundtrack as a kid. Do they sing "Fernando?" Cuz then I'm going to have a female pleasurable moment.

Tammi

Getting some gurls together asap!!!

Tootsie Farklepants

I will watch anything with Meryl Streep in it.

Lisa

I have always loved ABBA :) I want to see the movie so bad--have to get some friends together :)

Jason

I am so there.

Jlo

I saw it too and loved it. It is a hoot! My poor husband went with us and was a good sport about it even though a musical makes him want to poke his ears out with a very sharp object!!
