The kids cleaned the house Tuesday while I was at work (don't get too excited; I pay them). Social Butterfly had kitchen duty. She and I were in the car the next day.
Me: You did a great job on the kitchen; the stove is sparkling.
SB: I had that kitchen so clean. Then while I was out Uncle made dinner. I came back and there were dishes all over and the kitchen was a disaster. You wouldn't believe the mess they made!
Small aside: I am internally screaming. I wouldn't know what it's like to have someone mess up what I just cleaned?! HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!
Me: I love you.
SB: ?

MVP and I are taking the Brazilians to the next house where they are schedule to stay. We've borrowed the neighbors Expedition since our Sienna is packed for the trip. It's a warm day, we're sitting in the driveway with the car off and someone has forgotten something in the house.
Me: Would you turn the car on so we can get the a/c going?
MVP: You're asking me to idle a V8? That's just evil!

In the car:
MVP to Mr. Fix-it: You know Mom always has two conversations at once; the one inside her head and the one she shares with us.

Live Time Update:
At the table, after a rousing game of spoons (possibly definitely some alcohol imbibed by yours truly).
Me saying something I thought was funny.
Grown-up Girl: If you really thought that was funny put down the Champagne now!
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
At the Jacuzzi: I can't tell you the exact conversation, but suffice it to say that by the time a couple has a 7 month old daughter together the baby daddy should know the baby mama's sister's name and the baby daddy's 10 year old son should know his half-sister's baby mama. I'm just sayin'.

After some lively discussion about the rules of a game:
MVP: Ha! I live to refute!
Funny, funny!

That MVP has the wit of death. He's going to do something interesting in life. I just feel it. Maybe run some witty, amazing magazine or something.

That's some great dialogue. You should just change the name of your blog to "Fly on the Wall"
Thanks for your comments on neighborhood stereotypes. I guess the pharmacy pre-selects for people on the edge too.
