I feel your pain. I sat in the backseat with a coat over my head. Not sure it was legal, but it's the best I could do.

Professor J

You're a better woman than I.

My mom couldn't handle it. She passed the reigns over to my dad which I now find hilarious, because he is a horrible driver!

Shana

Just finished my third round of this. Now I have, like, a 10 year break before I have to teach my fourth child to drive. During that 10 years, I may become senile and unable to drive myself, though, so there's always that to hope for.

Mary Alice

Bless your brave heart. For my own mental health, I have turned this duty over to my husband's friend.

Smalltown Mom

The first one wasn't so bad, actually. I have a few years to go before the second one starts driving.

Patricia

i am a three time veteran also. but funnily enough now all of them think they are qualified to tell ME how to drive!
that's gratitude for you! ;-)

My daughter just got her license. Scary! and just like Patricia, now my licensed drivers think they are "awesome" and are always busy teaching me how to drive! My turn to master the art of the eyeroll.

Gina

Hahaha! I almost posted that one too! My fifteen year old is doing amazingly well and I think he will be a good driver. Unfortunately his dad wrecked the car that was supposed to be his so when he gets his license he's going to want to drive mine.

On round 2 here... SuperDad was deployed during round 1, so I'm making the early days of round 2 his job. I've discovered that he & I have very different teaching styles.
Zits is a wonderful parent-teen cartoon.
