Beautiful pictures and a great way to spend a day with your son.

kcinnova

Now that sounds like a lovely day! Which son had this wonderful idea?

ms_teacher

What a great day with your son! Personally, I think that anytime is a good time for Mexican food.

Gina

Beautiful photos.. it sounds like a perfect day.

blognut

Gorgeous shots - sounds like a perfect day.

Mary Alice

What a great day. It is nice to have the kids be big enough that they have to help us ford streams, wait for us to catch up, and come back for us when we decide to sit down on a log for a while.

Little Miss Sunshine State

What an awesome walk! Yesterday, my daughter, husband and I walked on a beach in Jupiter FL and collected another handful of nice shells.

Fannie

Sounds like a great antidote for the winter blues!

Gladys

Gorgeous pictures, great walk and yummmm a Cali Burrito from Roberto's Taco Stand in San Diego... Oops your not in SD are you? Ok well go have a Chipolte Burrito instead.

Sounds like a special day.

Smalltown Mom

What a beautiful day.

Manic Mommy

You've inspired me. Think I'll bundle the boys up and go for a walk in the woods. Perhaps it will make all the difference.

Cheri @ Blog This Mom!

Trying again.

Cheri @ Blog This Mom!

Yay!

I think my prior not-posted comment said something about the owl photo. Wow.

HIlary

Sounds like a great day. Just Mom and Son days usually are.

Suz

Looks like a perfect day spent together...nothing better than that. The weather must be just perfect this time of year...love all the pictures!!!!
I have been craving mexican food. I just love it!!!

wenderina

Hey - I need one of those to tell me to get out and about too. Of course if he tried to do it in the wee hours (the only daylight time I have right now) I would have to kick him in the head with those hiking boots.

Lisa

gorgeous jenn, the photos and the day!

phd in yogurtry

Oh I just love it. Hiking plus gorgeous scenery plus family time = perfection.

shelia

Wow! What an awesome time with your boy! Glad you listened to him! Those are some really awesome photos!

suburbancorrespondent

Cool!

debbie

I think that this is the kind of day that my hub has planned for us in the next few days....though without the awesome Mexican food at the end. damn.
The photos are great...the day sounds wonderful...definitely one to keep in "memory bank"!
Here's wishing a day like that for ALL of us!!

JCK

OH, Jenn, this sounds like a special hike.

Green Girl

How awfully nice!

Janet

oh what a cute owl!!!

Amy the Mom

That sounds like a dream. I would love to do that, but I'm not really into hiking when it requires many layers of wool, waterproof boots and long underwear.

Hopefully in about three months that can be a reality!

CC

So awesome!!!!! I haven't walked more than a mile in a long, long time.

Of course you need some great Mexican food after all that.
