As soon as I comment on this I am going to my handy-dandy cookbook and see what all is involved with polenta...or if there is a place I can just order it...I can get the chili and we have the cheese, sour cream and salsa. I can see this being a favorite around here, too!!
Thanks for the idea!!
To the cookbooks!!

Oh my...am I first?? Thave never happens!! Cool!

kcinnova

It looks yummy! but [*sniff*] no TJ's around here.

Suzanne

This looks great. So easy, that is my favorite part. I would give a toe to have a Trader Joes here.

I think we have a Trader Joe's somewhere around here, but I always just go to Giant Eagle because I'm in a hurry. We also have a Whole Foods store that I've always wanted to go to, but I just never seem to have time to drive that extra 20 minutes!

Manic Mommy

I was supposed to stop at TJs yesterday but maybe it was fate I didn't get there!

Is the canned chili any good? I'm a little hesitant of canned meats.

Desperation, quick, and easy are the way we roll around here at mealtime!

And thanks!

Smalltown Mom

I've seen the polenta in regular markets. I'm miles away from TJs.

Alesia

We're so bored with our food routines. I'll definitely try this.

Blognut

Now I'm hungry.

Heidi

Uh, yum!

Some quickies are the best. Wait, did I just say that?

gina

No Trader Joes here.. boo hoo! I have a similar recipe but intead of polenta on the bottom you put cornbread mix (Marie Callendar's complete just add water!) on top. I think I would like the polenta better though.

Shelia

Love TJs!

Looks yummy!

Janet

omg. I'm so making that Saturday night!

San Diego Momma

Jenn!
This is PERFECT! I've been desperate for dinner ideas around here.

Thanks!

green girl

Cool! I love recipes like this. Now if I can convince Trader Joe to come to my town...

The Girl Next Door

oh yummy and we do have a Tjs although I admit I rarely shop there- I just never know what to buy. Now I do!!

phd in yogurtry

oh, excellent! my husband will love you for this. or, I think ... I've only made polente once or twice, but he loves turkey chili and hominy. they're similar, right? hominy and polente? you think hominy would work as a substitute?

magpie

why oh why is TJs so far from me...?

stephanie (bad mom)

You are my absolute hero - I have ALL of these EXACT ingredients in my house RIGHT NOW!

(Sorry, the caps indicate I've got a need for this meal tomorrow! :D)

JCK

Thanks for the great idea!
