My Dad stopped by unexpectedly on Wednesday night. He can be a bit long-winded at times. Okay, protractedly-winded is more accurate.
As luck would have it, a friend of MVP’s was also here and we did what our family always does in a situation like this. Throw the friend to the wolves, by suggesting that the two of them share a common interest. In this case it was travel to the Pacific Northwest. Endless discussion of the microclimate of the Seattle area created by the location of the Cascades anyone?
Anyway, I digress (wonder where I get this from). I was on the couch and Danger Boy was in the kitchen when we had the following text message exchange.
Me: Put the burrito down and come out here.
DB: No.
Me: It’s okay. There’s an unsuspecting victim here.
DB: hahahahaha.
LOL Does MVP's friend know he was sacrificial food for the wolf?
And I might be a little crazy, but I kind of like that microclimate...

Texting hasn't reached us yet, but I do like the idea of summoning errant children via silent text.

Oh boy! I got entangled in a conversation today that I didn't need - I wish I'd had someone to throw in there instead of myself...

Did the friend chew off his arm to escape?

This is so funny. I think that any guest of my kids deserves this treatment; after all..doesn't he contribute to your grocery bill? Fair is fair!

You texted your kid, in the kitchen?! That is hilarious in itself!

Hahahaha! I'm glad I'm not the only one who texts her kids in the next room! I live in that microclimate of the Cascades. I could talk NW weather with your dad for hours, hahaha.

This is great. It reminds me of a time we were at a family birthday party and Amelia was trapped by a guy her age (non family) that was very interested in her, and she was mortified. So I kept texting her making fun of her as she stood there listening him drone on.
It was a great father moment.

We should put your father in a room with my father - we wouldn't see them for DAYS!
