While I wait to get a Master’s degree in Education Administration (I can’t do this until I’ve taught for three years) I’ve found another excuse to go back to school. 30 units of art classes will get me a supplemental authorization in art. So I guess it’s back to community college! (If I can get in in the current economic meltdown—I’ve heard it’s very difficult to get classes, especially if you already have a B.A.)
You know I’m a big fun of Klutz books and crafts—if you are too (and why wouldn’t you be?), here’s a great coupon code offer for you. Happy Shopping!
Super brilliant idea Jenn :)

Thanks for the coupon code! My kids love the Klutz series... we have a ridiculous number of them, but they'll probably get another one this Christmas. :)

You might already know this... First I got a Bachelor's degree in Art. Then, I got a Master's degree in Elem. Education. Then, I took the extra classes to be certified to teach art K-12. Now, I'm a nanny. PLEASE, don't follow in my footsteps! I know you won't.

Is this your artwork?
I love it when my kids bring home cool art.
As for me, I draw stick-figures and paint beautiful masterpieces in my head.

Its a lesson I taught at the school where Im student teaching. My art is non-existent, but then again, Ive never taken an art class!

There are so few classes being offered right now--due to budget cuts--that people who already have degrees are last on the list. By the time it gets around to them, most things are full. I have to see if theyre even offering such frivolous things as art classes in the spring.
