I always loved his columns in Newsweek --he is so articulate, and he makes sense. And he's not extreme --he can look at two sides of an issue and take the best of both. Well, except he did actually agree with invading Iraq, which I always thought was a bad idea.

It's too bad that more people cannot hear the common sense information and take it to heart - they just want what they want whether it is real or not. Mostly it's not. I can't believe that anyone can take Bachman seriously - and yet...

Did you happen to hear the interview with Lisa Gottlieb this week? I fear it may have just been on a local show here. She talked about an interesting article - http://www.theatlantic.com/magazine/archive/2011/07/how-to-land-your-kid-in-therapy/8555/
- which I suspect is something you'd be interested in.

P.S. The only thing I like about Michele Bachmann running is that I think she makes the Democratic choice more appealing to folks who wouldn't generally vote that way.

He would have to be declared Supreme Ruler because not many here would set aside their own agendas and actually vote for someone that might ask them to sacrifice something. Ugh.

I love Terry Gross, too. And, like Fareed Zakaria a lot. I have heard him on CNN quite a bit. I'll look forward to listening to this.

P.S. I like Lanes' optimistic view of the Democratic choice more appealing.
