Okay, I'm sorry, but did you not say in your comment to me the 2x a day would not work for you? Babes, you're doing it!

Get new shoes--cheaper if you order online, though...

The doggies are so cute...and walking is good for them and you.
Yeah, you need new sneaks. I just got some really comfy and lite (and super cute; white/pink) Nikes. I love them!!!!
So glad you cleared the air, honesty is the best policy. *snicker snicker*

Hope the new shoes help. I would love to walk with a friend, but I refuse to walk in rain, cold, and snow, so it never happens.

What a blessing to have a walking partner.
I'm glad SB's keeping you honest here.

have you been fitted for proper shoes? if not, now's the time to do it - hit a running store, get them to fit you, then shop for whatever type of support you'd need. should help with preventing shin splints. :)

Since I saw you in August? I've lost 5 pounds with barely any effort. (imagine if I really tried!)

I hadn't been walking since 08, when I had ankle surgery. Now that I'm in an elevator bldg, I go out twice as much (the stairs were just a pain to navigate) and walk a minimum of 20 minutes a day 5 times a week. That little amount is enough to keep it off me.

Also? I stopped eating after 6 pm. That's the hardest as my stomach growls from 10-11 pm. So I eat 3 tums to keep something in there! (the multiple fruity kind, with 1000 mgs of calcium)

I read that Heidi Klum says she takes off weight fast by using this, going to bed hungry, tactic. Frankly? She's right!

I would love to have a walking partner! I have actually considered getting in the car and driving 30 minutes to my sisters house to walk with her. Hope the new shoes help!

The older I get the more critical the walking shoes. Not that you are getting old, or anything ;)

Karen (formerly kcinnova)

I got new shoes after moving here. I hadn't noticed that I needed new ones, but my dh did! I have to admit, they do make a difference.
You've officially walked me into the ground this week. Of course, your roads weren't icy last night or today, were they? :)

The Zadge

Yes, new shoes. With your mileage, you'll probably need new ones every 8 months. Oh, and shinsplints can occur if you are doing any sort of downhill walking!

Tia G

Oh the new shoe blues... Good luck!
