Last Friday was not the first time I've seen this house on the bluff with the elevator going down to the beach, but it WAS the first I've seen the elevator and the home's occupants come down to the beach. It was an older couple and their two King Charles spaniels (I guess dogs-on-the-beach-hours don't apply if you have your own elevator).
Teeny talks to everyone, so she just walked up and started a conversation. The man was friendly and the woman was snooty. The dogs had nothing to say.
When we got home, she and I both got on the internets to see what we could find out about the house and the owners.
The round UFO looking thing is a guest house and is knowns as "The Mushroom House." The current owner of the house is one Buzz Woolley.
All that research made us a) tired and b) hungry. So we went to bed about 9, got close to 12 hours sleep, woke up, took a 5-mile walk and then had a leisurely lunch at my favorite Thai place in the funky part of town where you have to park wherever you find a spot and then walk for blocks, which was lucky because the walk took us past Urban Outfitters and I found a sundress on clearance for Social Butterfly for $7.00.
And that's the story that goes with that photo!
