by Downton Abbey mania. I know that I am more than fashionably late to this party, but I've finally arrived. I Netflixed season one and season two is only available on PBS.org for a couple of more weeks, so viewing has taken top priority. If you want to buy the seasons on DVD or Blu-Ray try purchasing them here with these handy promo codes.
We will return to our regularly scheduled programming shortly.
Yours,
Lady Eugenie, Marchioness of Weobly Marsh.
(Okay, I confess. I've been of Facebook getting my Downton Abbey name generated as well as watching the show.)
P.S. Has anyone else noticed that the weather in England seems to be just like that of San Diego?
This post include links for which I've been paid. Not much, but still, you should know!
I got addicted on Netflix. So great a show.

I accept that excuse. Go forth and watch.

Things will get a little bit more wintry in season 2. The last few episodes center around Christmas and New Year.
I DVRd the show (as I do everything) and Sunday night was The Good Wife followed by Downton Abbey. Late night for me but so worth it.
There are rumors of a season 3.
Oh! and the last episode had about 15 minutes of behind the scenes interviews with the cast and narrated by Hugh Bonneville. Very cool.

OMG you people are KILLING me. I can watch twenty episodes of "Upstairs Downstairs" here a WEEK but I can't find "Downton Abby" - what the F&^%?

Never saw it. The family I'm working for right now is from England. It is so funny to hear a 5 year old girl say "Oh look! His knickers are showing!" in the accent. Cheerio good friend!

I watched it from the beginning and then watched a marathon of Season 1 again before Season 2 started! Season 2 has some pretty laughable episodes, but it ends well. I am already antsy for Season 3 which I understand they only just started filming.

I've been a loyal follower of the two first seasons on TV - and I know it is toally addictive.

Ok, I have got to find out what this is!!!! I keep reading about this show....I am really really late to the party. Again!

I'm going to confess: I haven't seen it yet. There just isn't much time for TV viewing (and really, the only way I might ever see it is to stream it on the computer)... but from all the chatter, I'm obviously missing out!

I DVR'd the first season and watched all of it over a weekend last year. I have DVR'd this season as well and had hopes of a snowy weekend to spend curled up watching it but with 71 degrees on 2/22/12, I'm not sure we are going to have any snowy weekends this year. But winter isn't over yet! Watching it brought back fond memories of watching the original Upstairs/Downstairs, as well as the original Forsyte Saga.

I love this program! They are filming a season 3, with Shirley MacLaine as Lady Cora's mother, but I think it will be a year or so before we see it over here.

As I may have casually mentioned 30,302 times, I love the show! I cannot get enough of it, though I like the fact that I no longer wake up exhausted on Monday morning (some of the episodes have ended at 11 EST, which is far past my bedtime!)I know we have to wait a bit before watching Shirley MacLaine and Maggie Smith be awesome together, but I think they're worth it.
