Saturday night I was doing my Trader Joe's run for the brunch on Sunday. It was about 7:30 and after I spent half an hour chatting my with friend Barb near the fake meat products, I invited her to come with me to my friend Susan's where I planned on beating the heat with a beer or two before I went home and cooked.
We went to our respective homes, stowed our groceries and then I picked her up and we drove to Susan's and poured ourselves a Ballast Point Sculpin IPA from the kegerator. Then we sat on the edge of the pool, dangling our feet in and drinking aforementioned IPAs.
It was really quite lovely.
Susan and Barb were chatting away and I had my iPhone out trying to take a cool picture of my feet in the water to Instragram, Tweet and Facebook.
Barb looked at me strangely for a few moments, until Susan said, "Oh, don't pay any attention, she does that all the time."
Why yes, I do.
I guess if you are not one of "us" it might be hard to understand.
I know Janet gets it. I am sure Karen gets it (so much so that she really needs an iPhone). Also? Heidi. And then there's Jen . . . the list goes on and on.
The brunch was fun, but so was taking this shot, fiddling with it on Instragram, posting it and reading all the comments later.
One last photo:
Oh, whew! I thought this was developing into a post about how you dropped your IPhone into your friend's pool!

I am known as the one who will be taking pictures at most events, but with size 11 feet and butt ugly shoes, I don't take many shots of my feet.

hahaha!!! As I was reading the beginning, I thought, yup, I do that, and my friends that know me well would say something similar to what your friend Susan said :-) And then I saw you tagged me LOL! And what a perfect day for people to come visit...they can vote on which frame on the lobster mac & cheese shot they like best :-)
I was late-ish to work this morning because I was editing a picture from last night. And now, when I have to lay down for 5 minutes after changing my stoma bag, I take pictures of the things that are around me...just for laughs LOL! I took a shot of my face yesterday to see what I looked like laying there on the floor of my office ... LMAO!

Here in Salt Lake morning glories are considered a weed. Natives here are amazed that other parts of the country actually plant them ON PURPOSE! I'm from Massachusetts so I like morning glories..but I don't like when they invade the front lawn.

I get it!!! I get caught taking weird photos by my people all the time...they don't even say a word anymore.
Love the morning glories too!

oh, yes, I get it! And when my mom's house finally sells, I might consider an iPhone... but only for the camera part of the deal! (I can do that, right? Limit data to texting and still take pictures?)
