I love it. This will be the first year that neither of my girls will go with me to vote, as they're too old now. Still, we've been talking about the issues and they know who they'd vote for if they could. (Actually, the registrar of voters usually takes voting machines to the schools so that kids can learn how to vote and then practice.) My older girl is very aware that she'll be old enough to vote in the next presidential election and plans to register to vote as part of her 18th birthday celebrations.

I have no doubt that your kids take civic responsibility quite seriously -- just look at their mom! :)

Green Girl in Wisconsin

Love that your kid is voting in the swing state--that is terrific.

M kids have grown into their interest in politics and I am so happy about that. I don't know how I could relate to a politically apathetic child.

Cassi Renee

How cool that they thought about being in a swing state and what that means for their vote!

Love the swing state votes, but also that everyone is doing his or her part. That is awesome!

Voting is compulsory here, which is of course a discussion topic all on it's own.
Yes,they send out fines.
I'll be thinking of you all on election day, because it may be your election but of course American policy affects the whole world.

Good job kids!!!!

Even though my oldest and I hold disparate views (think Alex P. Keaton) I am proud that he cares enough to vote even when I threaten to withold his favourite meal if he continues with his foolishness- not only that but he does research the issues - we just disagree! I have more influence over engineering guy who has a good sensible liberal head on his shoulders.

No sane or honest person makes the claims you make.

When Obama took over, the economy was in free fall, the worst hit it had taken since the great depression.

All the economic indicators are much better now than then.

The problem is that you and so many people like you are so ignorant of history and of economics and even of civics that you don't realize how foolish you sound to educated people.

Romney has chosen to lie. He has chosen like Mitch McConnel and Eric Cantor, to lie in order to gain or retain power.

Obama is not perfect and his choices were not all perfect.

But the claims you make in the context you make them is simply false.
