You may have noticed I have been distinctly absent from the blogosphere of late. So. Much. To. Do. To. Leave. Work. For. Two. Whole. Weeks.
Eariler today, I might have said I was exhausted, but I got a reality check this evening while I was at the mall in search of the perfect nude clutch (found it!). My reality bitch-slap (Suz warned you about my potty mouth) came in the form of a very happy-looking, stylish woman who happened to be using her prosthetic arms to push herself in the wheelchair she was using because she also had no legs. So, actually, it turns out I have close to zero problems and don't need to be a whiner.
I have high hopes for a family photo very soon that captures us all at our joyous and aesthetic best. If that doesn't happen it won't be for lack of money spent :)
So . . . who knows when I will post next, though I'm sure Facebook and Instagram will be popping with my updates.
We leave Friday and the agenda is:
Colorado from the 17th to the 21st (MVP's graduation is the 18th; we will be bunking at MVP's girlfriend's parent's house and we will get to see very good friends who used to be our neighbors whose son is graduating also--then we get to see them again at the wedding).
Chicago from the 21st to the 31st (though the kids leave for home earlier). During these 10 days we will attend a wedding rehearsal dinner, a graduation and a wedding. We will have a wedding party mani-pedi brunch. We will meet Grownup Guy's family for the first time. We will do the tourist thing in Downtown Chicago with one of my best friends and her son (I haven't seen them in person for 10 years). We will help pack up an apartment and put it in a U-Haul and point it west. I suspect there will be considerable food, drink and merriment involved in all these activities.
We will do it all with the knowledge ( especially when close quarters and lack of sleep impose themselves on our attitudes as they are wont to do) that we are blessed beyond reasonable expectation with our lives. We will savor this crazy, joyous time.
Be sure to visit Time Warp die-hard Gary--he has posted faithfully even when I decided that this particular ball was the one that made the juggling too stressful.
If I had known, I have the perfect nude clutch! Yep, we have nothing to complain about.
I'm so excited about your upcoming events; you'd think I was attending them all too! I hope you are able to savor every moment.
LOVE both photos!!!

You might be exhausted, but you sound happy, and it looks like such a happy, fun, and exciting time! Have fun, and I'll wave to you from slightly north of Chicago :-)

It's ok to feel a bit weary from time to time, but it's also good to be able to put things in perspective. You have so many wonderful things on the horizon -- I hope you have an amazing time!

You are oh-so-BUSY but for very happy reasons. I'd call that a WIN! Have a wonderful and exciting time with all of these celebrations!
Since I hadn't heard otherwise, I decided that your busy-ness coincided nicely with my lack of a personal computer (sharing the old desktop until further notice) and I stepped away from TWT posting until June 4th. Is that too soon?
