unmitigated me

Okay, girlfriend, how close are our birthdays? I will be 50 on August 10th.

Jenn @ Juggling Life

You are close! March 28, but I freaking out now so I can enjoy my actual birthday. Do you have anything special planned? Suburban Correspondent just had hers.

You nailed the hotness that day.

Smalltown Me

That dress is fantastic!

I didn't know you had the dress custom made. I love that...it looks really good on you. I don't have any issues with a little cleavage; knowing you and I, it would not be 'abused'.
I use the Ulta Style powder; love that stuff. It gives me a little lift at the crown; you know, makes me taller. :) Lindsay loves it for her crown cowlick issue.
You are one smokin' hot almost 50 year old!

You look happy and beautiful -- I find the two often go together!

Jen on the Edge

You look terrific!

The Zadge

I'm turning the big 5-0 two months after you! And my baby goose hair makes yours look thick and luscious, so I'm running over to Amazon right now to get that texturizing powder! Thanks for the tip!

That dress is beautiful and you look SO pretty and happy in it! Isn't it amazing that clothes and makeup and hair products can make us feel so great? And a total bonus that the whole process was fun, too.

You are quite wise to realize that whatever "flaws" we complain about are the very things we will miss in the too-near future. The lovely, late Nora Ephron said she should have spent her entire twenties in a bikini. (From 'I Feel Bad About My Neck'.)

At fifty-five, I already miss how I looked at fifty! My daughter got married on the beach that year. I wore a little gray dress I found at the Gap outlet for $29, and managed to look cute and appropriate, if I do say so myself.

Wait!?? My happy, raving about loving this kind of breakdown comment got eaten? Dang.

I said such nice things to you, too.

fantastic points altogether, you just received a new reader. What could you suggest about your put up that you just made a few days in the past? Any certain?
